WorkshopBerlin-based photo artist Ute Lindner is known for her large-format cyanotypes of up to 80 square meters, which she creates as curtains or wall coverings. In this 2-day workshop she will create with the participants cyanotypes on textiles. In addition to the historical backround, she will explain the different approaches and implementation possibilities of this historical procedure.
The cyanotype is a traditional copying process that produces bright blue images under sunlight. The non-toxic emulsion can be applied to various image carriers such as fabric (cotton, linen, silk, etc.) by means of printed films or objects in real Prussian blue are created by UV exposure.
