Erstmaliger Blick in das historische Lehrmittelarchiv des Fachbereiches Gestaltung an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin: Dort haben sich Bestände historischer Glasdiapositive erhalten, die den Unterricht der Vorgängerin der heutigen Institution nach 1900 mit dem damals noch neuen Medium bereicherten. Sie wurden von namhaften Firmen mit Lehrdiaproduktion wie Dr. Franz Stoedtner in Berlin oder E.A. Seemann mit seiner Seestern-Lichtbild-Anstalt in Leipzig erworben.
In der Präsentation im Haus der Kulturen der Welt werden fotografische Mode-Lichtbilder der Damen- und Herren-Mode der Jahre 1900 bis ca. 1940 aus dem historischen Lehrmittelarchiv gezeigt. Das Modebild der Zeit war zeitgleich zum Vorbild für die Lernenden geworden. Ergänzt durch eine Kurzdarstellung der Firmen der Lichtbilder-Produzenten beleuchten die historischen Großdiapositive nicht nur die Mode-Ausbildung in der damaligen Modestadt Berlin, sondern auch ein Kapitel Fotografiegeschichte.
