Ein Bezirk erfindet sich neu
Creativ-Centrum Neuköllner Leuchtturm
Der Bezirk Neukölln bildet ein Konglomerat von 160 Kulturen, in dem der Künstler als Hoffnungsträger erscheint. Dieser urbane Lebensraum ist Stimulanz für die sechs ausstellenden internationalen Fotokünstler, die selbst Teil des Veränderungsprozesses in Neukölln sind. Indem Zeit als vielfältiger Aspekt hinterfragt wird, zeigt sich in den ausgestellten Exponaten, wie sich 650 Jahre Geschichte mit der Gegenwart verweben. Das alltägliche Straßenbild wird aus ungewohnter Perspektive dem Alltäglichen enthoben, ihm wird Schönheit abgetrotzt. Dokumentarisch bis inszeniert ist der Blick auf das Leben in diesem Teil der Stadt. Der Prozess des Sich-Erinnerns, des Heimischwerdens mittels Fotografie wird thematisiert. Die Familie, Keimzelle der Gesellschaft, wird im Porträt mit der Kamera konfrontiert und verlassene Wohnräume als Spuren menschlichen Schicksals gezeigt. Der Mensch erscheint als Nomade: widersprüchlich im Moment des Aufbruchs, ziellos und hoffend zugleich.
