André Wagner (*1980, Chemnitz) ist den Urkräften der Natur auf der Spur. Inspiriert von vorgefundenen Situationen, manchmal ergänzt durch fantasievolle Inszenierungen, nimmt er beeindruckende Impressionen von Orten und Menschen auf.
Die Ausstellung zeigt zwei Serien aus dem Jahr 2010. Zentrales Thema dieser Arbeiten ist die Überlagerung verschiedener Zeit- und Raumebenen. Mit sicherem Gespür für die Gleichzeitigkeit des Ungleichzeitigen (Ernst Bloch) fängt Wagner Momente des Privaten ein, die sich in der Atmosphäre des Raumes bestimmen. Das Porträt eines auf einem Dach Meditierenden steht neben der Aufnahme eines Innenraums, der nur vom Licht eines Fernsehers beleuchtet wird. Bei Wagner scheint jeder einzelne Moment mit Inhalten aufgeladen, die sich über die rein ästhetische Botschaft hinweg erheben. Diese Wirkung wird nochmals verstärkt, wenn der Fotograf mit sehr langen Belichtungszeiten arbeitet. Das abgebildete Licht ist mein Weg durch die Zeit, beschrieb er es einmal.
