Die 3D-Installation VERDENSRUM. (World Spaces) von Birgit Kjærsgaard zeigt die kulturellen Zeichensysteme dieser drei Kulturen und deren Metaphorik. Design, Figur und Zeichen wie auch das Wetter werden zu Ausgangspunkten der künstlerischen Betrachtung, hinter der die Faszination Kjærsgaards für fremde Kulturen, deren Ästhetik und Spiritualität aufscheint. Das Projekt verbindet Fotografie, Film, Musik und Gerüche und führt den Betrachter mittels 3 D-Brillen, digitalen Soundtracks und Gerüchen auf eine virtuelle Reise zu den Wurzeln der Kulturen und in die Mysterien des Ostens.
Verdensrum ist Teil der Ausstellungsserie A holi-city (A holistic-city), die sich mit den Ideen von Holismus, Ganzheit, dem Heiligen und der Spiritualität auseinandersetzt. Die abstrakt-architektonischen Meditationen von Birgit Kjærsgaard stellen unter all den umfassenden Glücksversprechen und Ganzheitstheorien eine Spurensuche der anderen Art dar.
