Zum ersten Mal in Deutschland zeigt Das Verborgene Museum Fotografien von Henriette Grindat (19231986), die neben den Bildjournalistinnen Anita Niesz (*1925) und Monique Jacot (*1934) und den Kollegen Werner Bischof (19161954), Gotthard Schuh (18971969), Jakob Tuggener (19041988) zu den stilbildenden Fotografinnen und Fotografen der Schweiz nach 1945 gehört.
In Lausanne geboren, beendet sie 1946 eine dreijährige Ausbildung an der Ecole de photographie de Suisse romande, geleitet von der Porträt-, Theater- und Experimentalfotografin Gertrude Fehr. 1949 finden Grindats surrealistische Aufnahmen von subjektiver fotografischer Poesie in Pariser Künstlerkreisen besondere Beachtung. Aus Begegnungen mit Schriftstellern wie Albert Camus und René Char sind gemeinsame Bild-Textbände entstanden, die bis heute den Charme ihrer fotografischen Experimente entfalten. Die Ausstellung Méditerranées, eingerichtet von der Fotostiftung Schweiz, zeigt eine Auswahl ihrer südländischen Stadtlandschaften.
