It is ten years since the BEST-Sabel Berufsfachschule für Design [Professional Design College] in Köpenick received official recognition. Since then, its Photography faculty has been turning out graduates with a successful national examination behind them every year to start their career as professional photographers.
The exhibition "DEKADE II [DECADE II] The Next Generation" brings together works by students of our Photographic Design department, who will follow in the steps of the first decade of graduates. These can be subsumed under the theme of FILMSTILLS.
The contributions to the exhibition can be allocated to a wide range of different branches of photography. The photographs have been created as project work of the present year of graduate leavers. The class thus forms the first generation of a new decade of graduates of our college the Next Generation so to speak.
The exhibition aims to follow on from DEKADE I, also organised under the auspices of the Month of Photography, and presenting photographic designers from the first decade of the college.
