The radical speed of the urban lifestyle all too frequently makes it difficult for us to linger. It becomes impossible to immerse ourselves. Lina Ruske and Edith Maria Balk dedicate their efforts to making the fleeting details of everyday life the protagonists of their stories. Created in Berlin and in China, their works become an exact observation or a visual narration, in which the outer world melts into the inner one. The hidden, driving impulses of the city are compressed and made the object of experience. Viewers are invited to get into the interstices of the city and allow themselves to be carried by the flow just for a moment.
