Michela Morosini seeks out people who will allow themselves to be photographed in their entirely personal surroundings. The connection between the individual and space explains the clothes, moves them into a context which conveys more than a studio portrait can do. At the end of her work we find a picture in which space, the human being and the clothes melt into a mutual symbiosis. Commercial photography turns into a portraiture of the clothes by the human individual and space.

This mutual influence is something by which Michela Morosini has always been fascinated. Our bodies, our gestures and our body language change the effect that our clothes have on other people. It is the materiality of our bodies that fills the jackets, trousers and skirts we wear with life. And the spaces and locations where we spend our lives become the frame for this everyday artwork.
