Over several decades, the Dutch photographer Rogier Alleblas has repeatedly photographed the same parklike pedestrian recess of a street crossing in Berlin. In Keine Zeit (No Time) a few park benches always seen from the same viewpoint and in an unvarying picture frame form the backdrop for passers-by who either walk past or choose to sit down for a while. The series of pictures created on this basis shows different people in an almost identical pose, as well as the same people in recurring shots that are almost indistinguishable from one another. Even when the seasons change, time seems to dissolve in Alleblas pictures blown away like the autumn leaves of the trees that can be seen in the background of the photographs.
