Party excesses and mass events at the weekend are typical of our modern leisure culture, which no longer seems primarily designed to serve the form of recreation propagated in the past but rather subjects the body to imperative demands. Wochenenden, Wunden [Weekends, Wounds] aims to confront the party and events culture of the Berlin metropolis, with all its painful consequences. The central focus of the exhibition is on the wounds of the body, the soul and the urban environment, as these are impacted by the unconditional lust for living or compensation. Created in cooperation with Bauchhund salonlabor and MannSbilder Schwuler Foto-Club e.V [MannSbilder Gay Photo Club, Regd. Assn.], the exhibition also includes works by Schlomographische Aktion Berlin. The schlomographs, an experimental constellation of three MannSbilder artists, transfer a couples heart frequencies to analogue photographic materials diagnosis included!
