The Landesfotoschau (LAFO) [Federal State Photographic Show] is a competition that takes place in alternate years with the Landes Dia- und Digitalschau (LADI) [Federal State Slide and Digital Show] and is organised by the different member states of the Deutscher Verband für Fotografie e.V. [German Photographic Association]. For this years competition, organised by the Federal State Association of Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, photographers were invited to submit pictures on freely chosen subjects as well as on the special themes of Friends and Neighbours and Mobility. Anyone in the region who wishes can take part of any age, and whether a professional or an amateur. This year once again the prizewinning photos will be exhibited at Volkshochschule Steglitz [Steglitz College of Adult Education]. The private viewing and prize giving ceremony will take place on at 2.00 pm on 20 October 2010 at the Blaue Galerie.
