Zuza Krajewska & Bartek Wieczorek: Bryce Draper "What do you want me to do?"
2010 © Zuza Krajewska & Bartek Wieczorek
What are the limits of mutual seduction and instrumentalisation between the model and the photographer? What actually happens at a photoshooting? Fashion photography often hovers between voyeurism and exhibitionism a roleplay in two directions. In the exhibition Was kann ich für Sie tun? [What can I do for you?], Zuza Krajewska and Bartek Wieczorek reveal their attitude to fashion photography. They are not so much interested in the model as an aesthetic object as they are in the situation of human encounter. They consider the question whether fashion photography has to be restricted to the presentation of a new collection may it not perhaps hold more, transcending the limits of the aesthetic?
Zuza Krajewska (born 1975) and Bartek Wieczorek (born 1979) are a couple, both in private life and professionally. They are fashion designers and photographers, with an established international reputation in the field of professional fashion photography. They have worked for journals like Viva!, Quest Magazine, Twój Styl, Elle, Vanity Teen Magazine, K. Mag and others.
