klubfoto is a platform for contemporary photography and privat is its seventh monothematic group exhibition, organised by the five member klubfoto team. This time 75 photographers, men and women, have accepted their invitation. It is up to each of the participants to choose both content and form of presentation, there will not be any subsequent jury process. On exhibit are pictures that explore the limits between the private sphere of an individual and public space, that offer insight into the private life of the photographer, as well as everyday-scenes in reportage style, and intimate moments of both staged and authentic privacy, and bizarre glances into private spaces and most intimate dreams.
As a supplement to the exhibition, klubfoto publishes a magazine named privat, eine Art Magazin, [Private, a Kind of / an Art Magazine] containing all photographs, as well as texts and illustrations, dealing with the theme. All works shown in this exhibition are collected in a klubfoto edition (edition 10 + 2) as a signed and numbered artists print at a price of Euro 400. Info: www.klubfoto.de.
