Der fiktionale Dokumentarfilm „Photography” begleitet einen Fotografen und einen Retuscheur auf ihrer Geschäftsreise im ländlichen Ungarn. Eine filmische Abhandlung über das Medium Fotografie und das Verhältnis zwischen Wahrheit und Fälschung.

Der universell begabte Künstler Miklós Erdély, der als „Vater der neuen ungarischen Avantgarde“ galt, versucht in seinem Experimentalfilm „Dream Copies” die Träume verschiedener Interviewpartner mit filmischen Mitteln zu rekonstruieren.

Ju.Kali - The search for freedom and desire brang me to a land of paradox beauty: Albania. The simplicity of their living culture seems to me like burden and release at once. And then, I am dreaming. Of a horse (alb. kali). It’s riding through the width of plain and brings the indian soul back home. And suddenly she (alb. ju) was standing there, in the middle of a chain of mountains and clouds where sunlight was interfusing theatrically. Water, earth, air and fire seemed to be united. A unit. People so poor and yet so rich. What is wealth actually?

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Helmut Newton, a film program on the life and work of the photographer is shown for one week on the ground floor of the Museum of Photography, starting with Gero von Boehm's film "The Bad and the Beautiful" (2020).

In collaboration with Swiss composer Katharina Rosenberger berlin based photographer and video artist Betina Kuntzsch has developed a documentary video animation dealing with Rosenberger’s composition series „Urban Morphologies“. The world premiere took place within the scope of „UpToThree – augmented“, workshop festival by ensemble mosaik, early in august. We showcase the documentation of the concert.
