On the one hand mesmerizingly beautiful, on the other vulnerable, precarious, or wholly devastated – the effects of climate change and human intervention are evident in many landscapes on our planet. Photographer Olaf Otto Becker has been following these changes for over 30 years.
From March 22, the Deutsches Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology) will be showing a selection of Becker’s photographs taken on his expeditions to Earth’s remotest regions. His photographic journeys have brought him to the melting glaciers of Greenland, Southeast Asia’s devastated rainforests and artificial natural worlds, and to the vanishing permafrost on the northern coast of Siberia.
The special exhibition is part of the 40th anniversary program of the Deutsches Technikmuseum.
