Paul Glaser hat seit 1970 die Veränderungen in Berlin-Kreuzberg fotografisch festgehalten. Seine Aufnahmen aus mehr als drei Jahrzehnten belegen, wie die Zuwanderung seit Mitte der 1960er Jahre Kreuzberg verändert und geprägt hat. Der Kampf um Bildung und politische Rechte sowie die muslimische Prägung sind einige von Glasers Themen. Die Fotos dokumentieren das Leben in dem nach dem Mauerbau zum Stadtrand gewordenen Innenstadtbezirk, in dem sich in den 1970ern eine ganz eigene Dynamik entwickelte. Neue Nachbarschaften entstanden, ein migrantisches Selbstbewusstsein wuchs heran.
Glaser gelingt ein Gesamtbild Kreuzbergs aus der Perspektive eines engagierten Fotografen und Journalisten.
