Galerie CAMERA WORK is proud to present the Scottish photographer Albert Watson. Born in Edinburgh in 1942, Watson has long been regarded as a classic in the field of photography. His work includes numerous genres, including fashion, portraits, nudes, still lifes and landscapes. In spite of this variety, his refined and often humorously arranged subjects reflect a remarkable unity and consistency. It is almost inconceivable that he explores the world and its motifs with the benefit of just one eye, as he has had only one seeing eye since birth. He develops all the photos in his own laboratory a task that he himself has described as a real 'act of creation'. The exhibition shows a cross-section of the complex work of Albert Watson, ranging from portraits of icons like Mick Jagger, Alfred Hitchcock and Kate Moss to brilliant fashion shots and recent original work like the Motel and Breaunna series.
