This exhibition by the Estonian artist Liina Siib, born in 1963, is made up of three photographic series created in the year 2008: 'Women Take Little Space', 'Zorro' and 'Contemporary Nymph'. These pictures settle accounts with dreams, and open their arms to reality. They confront the viewer with structures based on self-images of the women of today. The photos and supporting video explore the everyday life of women, and investigate the meaning and the use of femininity. In modern societies, it seems, there are innumerable options available. Siib looks for answers to the question how a woman can come to terms with this situation and organise her own life accordingly.
