For this joint exhibition Astrid Busch, Christine Fenzl and Susanna Kirschnick visited a place on the Polish border, and investigated it with the help of various pictorial idioms and techniques. Light moods and perspective views play an important part in their work. Astrid Busch sets up film sequences where the actions are only suggested narratives made up of light and shadow which, being brought to a standstill, point to what we expect or intuit. Christine Fenzl makes forceful photographic portraits of children and young people in their life context. Her pictures have a concentrated and palpable intensity, giving the viewer a suggestion of the atmosphere, and so of the living reality of these young people. Susanna Kirschnick focuses on people in space, the space involving both cityscapes and natural landscapes. Her photographs explore realities that are based on a philosophical discourse. The project is still being worked on.
