The work of Almut Linde, winner in 2008 of the HAP Grieshaber Prize of VG Bild-Kunst, which is awarded by the Stiftung Kunstfonds, investigates formative processes within social systems. She examines the question of the mobility available to the individual within these systems. She takes strictly controlled social units, like a factory, the army or a psychiatric ward, as the setting for her campaigns, and derives meaningful forms from the typical experiences that result. Here she focuses in particular on surprising happenings, so extracting forms that provoke new modes of perception.
In the project room of the Deutscher Künstlerbund Almut Linde is showing a photographic installation specially designed for this exhibition.
The exhibition is presented by the Deutscher Künstlerbund in cooperation with VG Bild-Kunst and the Stiftung Kunstfonds.
