Journey to Paimpol, spring 1987
The launching point for this series was a week spent on holiday, and the beginning of a friendship with a photographer.
So I left my family for a week's holiday, carrying in my luggage a 4 x 5 inch camera and black and white Polaroid® films (negative to positive).
The starting idea was simple enough: every day I took a picture, sent my friend the positive in the post, and when I got home again, made a contact print from the negative.
Since that time the series has remained in a box.
Today the children are grown up, and I still count the photographer among my friends.
