Wine. Beyond the landscape - A Preview

‘Wine. Beyond the Landscape’ is the second iteration of a four-year photographic project of the Zenato Academy, a cultural initiative of the Italian winery Zenato.

Curated by the critic Luca Panaro, this second stage of the project comprises work developed by five students of the f/16 Schule für Fotografie Berlin – during their brief residency at the winery – with the support of the artist and teacher Martina della Valle.

The selected theme was ‘the landscape’, seen both as a source of knowledge and as a noble and silent witness to the wine production process.

The resulting images feature original interpretations of the topic, represent the variety of formal approaches pursued at f/16 (School of Photography), and manifest the young artists’ desire to go ‘beyond’ iconic landscape photography by allowing their imagination free rein.
