Belong
Russell James
‘Belong’ by Russell James is a fine-art experience that explores the fragile connection between nature and humanity. Shot in the Kimberly Ranges in Western Australia, the series is a stunning reminder of humanity’s dwindling awareness of the beauty of our planet. In contrast to the many works that saturate us with images of environmental devastation, ‘Belong’ seeks to inspire us by focusing on the beauty that still survives in certain places. It is also a rousing demand for people to preserve and heal our world for future generations.
James created ‘Belong’ with the support of Australia and using state-of-the-art technology. It is a haunting and striking immersive multimedia project, comprising fine-art photography, projections, and behind-the-scenes footage.
