The event consists of a weekend-long group exhibition, panel discussions, workshops, portfolio reviews, film screenings and a party featuring exciting new music selections. Bringing together the work of local and internationally acclaimed artists, experts, moderators, and speakers, the program is dedicated to proposing new ideas and fostering essential dialogues about contemporary visual culture and its values related to representation and meaning.
Together, we will critically reflect on the power of visual language in relation to art and fashion by rereading diverse image- and brand-making strategies, including their creative and subversive potential. We want to address the instability of images in different media, alongside the emancipatory potential of their consumption and interpretation.
Unfolding across three days (March 23 – 25), Fotografiska Days will take place at Berlin’s Atelier Gardens, formerly an iconic film campus overlooking Tempelhofer Feld. In the spirit of accessibility and equity, tickets will be sold at a symbolic price point of 6 EUR. More details coming soon.
