Like Heinz Hajek-Halke's abstract-experimental photographic studies, the works by Jana Dillo (from the series Polagramme, 2020-22), the artist duo Banz & Bowinkel (from the series Bodypaint, 2019), and Hanno Otten (from the series Lichtbild, 2002) shown in the exhibition “Beyond the Photographic” explore the possibilities of photography beyond figurative representation. During the artist talk, the artists will comment on their individual visual languages in the context of the exhibition and explain their approach to form, color, experimentation, and abstraction.
