We can without doubt call photography the key visual medium of the present. Like no other medium, it has since its inception been subject to immense technological change – thus leaving it subject to constant transformation. What strategies might be effective in documenting the medium and its various artistic and social usages – thus delivering visual testament to its history and human figures – while at the same time thinking even at this stage about the preservation of its contemporary (and future) forms?
