Guided Tour of the Alles Fließt Exhibition
A Journey Along the Oder
Astrid Scheuermann

Join the photographer Astrid Scheuermann for a guided tour of the Alles Fließt (Everything Flows) exhibition, an in-depth exploration of the environmental and social challenges facing the river Oder. This unique experience combines striking visual storytelling with personal anecdotes and behind-the-scenes insights into the making of this project.

Discover how the photographs were created along the Oder's banks, a river that is not just a natural boundary between Germany and Poland but also a lifeline for communities, agriculture, and biodiversity. Learn about the ecological disasters that have afflicted the river in recent years, including the catastrophic fish die-offs caused by toxic algae blooms fueled by industrial pollution and climate change.

As we walk through the exhibition, I will share stories about the people I met, the landscapes I captured, and the scientific and political complexities I uncovered. You'll gain a deeper understanding of the river's role in the region, the delicate balance of its ecosystem, and the urgent need for action to protect one of Europe's last free-flowing rivers.

This tour is not only a visual journey but also an opportunity to reflect on how interconnected we are with our natural environment.
