For the performance Krieg, Käthe Kruse reads all known wars since our era from a roll of paper.

As she found the many trouble spots on our planet very frightening, Käthe Kruse wanted to make a work about peace in 2014. While researching, she only found wars and realised that the long period of peace we had in Western Europe until Russia attacked Ukraine in 2022, was something quite extraordinary. There was only ever war, at all times and everywhere in the world.

Käthe Kruse's double LP Krieg was released in 2024. For the performance, she lists the dates, her daughter Edda Kruse Rosset plays the drums and the crackling of fire lies beneath everything.
