Radical Beauty
Scallywag Fox, Diana Gomez, Brian Griffin, Gottfried Helnwein, Eva Losada, Erwin Olaf, Elizaveta Porodina, Thomas Todd

Radical Beauty radically questions our ideas of beauty, attractiveness, and aesthetics. In this globally unique photo project, over 60 internationally renowned fashion and art photographers, including Brian Griffin, Gottfried Helnwein, Eva Losada, Erwin Olaf, and Elizaveta Porodina, exclusively portray people with Down syndrome.

The photographers designed the settings and arrangements in close collaboration with their models and brought the same commitment, creativity, and professionalism to bear as with other photographic productions and campaigns. The focus of the work is always on artistic exploration and playing with identity and representation.

The results are remarkable works that convey the joy of role-playing and visual experimentation and reflect the unique personalities of the protagonists in impressive ways. Whether it’s tender intimacy, sober realism, or full-blooded joie de vivre – Radical Beauty celebrates all facets of the human condition and the diversity of an inclusive society.
