Disruptionen des 20. Jahrhunderts (Disruptions of the Twentieth Century) is a series of archive talks inviting the public to visit photographic archives and speak to experts about historical documents that rarely find their way onto museum walls. Disruptionen des 20. Jahrhunderts employs images and other archival materials to establish a connection between past experiences of war in Europe and the current outbreak of war in the Ukraine. These show that civilizational progress is not a steady, continuous development, but has to be achieved again and again, particularly in politically precarious times.
