Georges Rousse
The Galerie Springer Berlin presents new works by French artist Georges Rousse. He is not ‘just’ a photographer; he is a draftsman first, then a painter and architect, in that he works in and with space. Georges Rousse uses colour, light, and architectural elements to transform three-dimensional space into a two-dimensional photographic image.
Does he turn reality into a vision, or vision into reality? The power, expression, and colour of the simple geometric forms in his new works, which were made in Japan, Korea, and Europe, are captivating.
