ANNE DE VRIES
Born 1977 / Studied at the Rietveld Academy and Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York / Selected solo shows include Trails of the Hive Mind at Sandy Brown in Berlin and Trails Rising at The Composing Rooms in London (both 2012); large-scale solo exhibition E-Merge at FOAM, Amsterdam (2015); Deep Screen at Parc Saint Léger, France and Submission at Cell Project Space, London (also 2015); Oblivion at the 9th Berlin Biennale and Reconstructive Memory at Valentin, Paris (both 2016) / Selected group exhibitions include The Dark Cube at Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012); Still/ Life at Three Shadows Museum, Beijing, and Super ficial Hygiene at De Hallen, Haarlem (both 2014); Asdzá˛á˛ Nádleehé at Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York (2016) / 2016 appointed lecturer at ECAL Lausanne / Anne de Vries lives and works in Amsterdam and Berlin.
THOMAS SEELIG
Born 1964 / Studied visual communication at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, followed by a curatorial study program at the Jan van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht, Holland / 1996 to 2002 freelance curator / 2003 to 2013 curator of the collection at the Fotomuseum Winterthur in Switzerland / Since 2013 co-director of the museum with Duncan Forbes / Curator of group and thematic exhibitions at Winterthur including The Ecstasy of Things (2004), Research and Invention (2007), Karaoke
(2009) and Concrete—Architecture and Photography (2013) / Curator of solo shows for James Welling (2013), Yann Mingard and Peter Piller (both 2014) and Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs (2015) / 2010 co-curator of the Mark Morrisroe retrospective at Winterthur with Beatrix Ruf / Thomas Seelig lives and works in Winterthur.
