ADAM BROOMBERG

Born 1970 / Studied sociology and art history at Wits University, SA / Joined Benetton’s research centre Fabrica in Italy / 1995 Editor and photographer with Benetton’s Colors magazine, returning later as Creative Director / Beginning of long-term collaboration with Oliver Chanarin / Since 2000 widely exhibited in solo and group exhibitions on all continents / Featured in major public and private collections, incl. Tate Modern, MoMA , Stedelijk, V& A , Musée de l’Élysée / Co-author of numerous publications and photographic studies, e. g. Ghetto (2003), Mr. Mkhize’s Portrait (2004), The Red House (2007), Spirit is a Bone (2015) / Major awards include ICP Infinity Award (2014) and Deutsche Börse Photography Prize (2013) / Lectures on photography, e. g. at LCC in London and School of Visual Arts, New York / Since 2016 Professor of Photography at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg / Adam Broomberg lives and works in London.

BRAD FEUERHELM

Born 1977 / 2004 BA in art history and photography at the University of Minnesota / 2010 to 2012 director at the Daniel Blau Gallery, London / 2011 co-curator of On the Ephemeral on Photography at the HotShoe Gallery, London / 2012 to 2014 associate editor and writer for 1000Words photography magazine / 2012 published his first book with Self Publish, Be Happy / 2014 to present: managing editor and partner of the contemporary photography and art magazine American Suburb X / Private photography dealer and curator / Has published several books on his collection including Let Us Now Praise Infamous Men (2014, with Michael Salu) / Writes for various print and online magazines including Granta / Brad Feuerhelm lives and works in London.

NICOLE GRAF

Born 1970 / 1991 to 1993 trained as a BBS-qualified librarian at the Swiss National Library in Bern / 1994 to 2001 studied sociology, law and modern Swiss history at Bern University / Research and editorial assistant at Bern University / Freelance film journalist at the Berner Zeitung / 2005 to 2008 worked at the ETH-Bibliothek in Zurich / Set up the e-periodica.ch online platform for digitalized periodicals / 2008 to present: director of the image archive at the ETH-Bibliothek / Focuses on crowdsourcing, diverse publications and the library blog / 2011 to present: co-author of Pictorial Worlds: Photographs from the ETH-Bibliothek’s Image Archive, now in its fifth volume / 2015 MA in visual studies at Danube University Krems / Nicole Graf lives and works in Zurich.


 

CHRISTINA LEBER

Born 1966 / Studied Catholic theology and education at various universities in Germany and abroad, completing her studies with a PhD / 1992 to 1999 worked freelance in various corporate art collections including at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Tetra Pak and DG BANK / 1999 to 2001 director of the 2nd Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art / 2003 to 2011 curator of the DZ BANK art collection / 2008 published a book on art collections in German corporations between
the years 1965 and 2000 / Since 2011 director of the DZ BANK art collection / Christina Leber lives and works in Frankfurt.

SHOAIR MAVLIAN
