‘Perhaps known, but often not present’ is the focus of this group show that addresses the way in which various places and patterns of action are made visible in our society. The seven graduates of Bauhaus University in Weimar pose questions concerning technological, biographical and cultural phenomena that take place either subtly or unnoticed in the background. The diversity of approaches shown range from conceptual documentations of a mass for use by the Catholic Church and the simulation technology of the German Air Force to the architectonic puzzles of a Sanaa building. The building appraiser Ströbel’s job and the interactive installation of a store for forgotten private photographs present ways of dealing with photographic archives. In the video piece Käthe and I,behaviour patterns of a deceased grandmother are recalled in performative manner. In the process, this work addresses biographical and emotional processes, as does the poetic collection a little deeper than you thought.
