ŠTOKOVEC, SPACE FOR CULTURE
ŠTOKOVEC, SPACE FOR CULTURE
Štokovec, space for culture was founded in 2008 by curator and cultural manager Zuzana Bodnárová and artist Svätopluk Mikyta. Since 2009, Štokovec has run the residency program and arts centre BANSK A ST A NICA Contemporar y within the still active train station in Banská Štiavnica. Here, contemporary art projects emerge beneath 1950s socialist chandeliers in the station waiting area. Art books made locally have international success.
